All of this essentially forced your hand to accept an even lower offer as otherwise you will have wasted time money, and that house you are due to move into will be lost as they will look to proceed with offers from other individuals who came before and after you.

This is unfortunately well known within the property sales industries and although not all cash buyers do this, it is standard practice for most.
